The following charts compare home (both flats and houses) features in Yorkshire region to the home features in whole England and Wales. Outer ring charts show share in Yorkshire, inner charts show share for England and Wales. Data is taken from energy certificates for domestic buildings. The certificates were issued between 2008-2016. Data is available for more than 50% of all domestic properties. In case of multiple certificate for one property, only the latest available certificate data was used in the charts.

Yorkshire homes by number of rooms

Room count is number of habitable rooms. Habitable rooms include any living room, sitting room, dining room, bedroom, study and similar; and also a non-separated conservatory and a kitchen/diner having a discrete seating area. Excluded from the room count are any room used solely as a kitchen, utility room, bathroom, cloakroom, en-suite accommodation and similar, any hallway, stairs or landing, and any room not having a window.
